The name Thailand translates as the “land of the free” and rightly so. Throughout the country’s 800-year history, Thailand is the only country in South-east Asia to have never been colonized. It is also affectionately known as the “land of smiles” to its many visitors. This country, previously known as Siam, spans across an area of 514,000 square kilometres in the heart of South-east Asia and shares its borders with Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, and Malaysia.
Bangkok is known for having the best rooftop bars in the world. The views are mind-blowing. Vertigo Moon Bar occupies Bangkok’s Banyan Tree Hotel top floor. “Vertigo offers an al fresco dining experience set atop a roof terrace overlooking the glittering cityscape of Bangkok a grill and bar experience that is Asia’s first. Moon Bar puts you at ease in a formal setting 61 floors above the city and offers premium drinks.” Our welcome dinner took place at Vertigo Moon Bar and it was AMAZING! The service is impeccable and the food is finger licking good. Our options included; bourbon blazed smoked duck, Australian prime beef, or New Zealand salmon.
