Labor Day is fastly approaching and it will mark the end of the summer holiday travel season. Where did summer go?  Seems just like yesterday we were unofficially kicking off summer with Memorial Day weekend.  Labor Day for many is the end of the summer travel season.  With the end coming near; there will be a lot of people trying to squeeze in one more vacation.  In 2017 an estimated 39.3 million U.S. travelers took to the road, skies, rails, and water according to AAA.

Whether it’s a family vacation, girlfriends getaway, solo trip or staycation, there is one essential that everyone must pack.  This one essential must be packed no matter how far you’ll be traveling. Can you guess what this one essential is?  I will give you a little time to think about it. Yep, you guessed it.  A positive attitude.  Nothing, and I mean nothing can ruin a trip faster than someone who has a bad ass attitude.  I like to call them Negative Nancy.  You know the people that suck the life out of every situation.  The people that when you see them calling you hit decline.  Yep, those people.

Approach traveling with an open mind and a positive attitude.  Soak in the experience of other cultures, food, and language.  If something goes not as planned it’s okay.  Thank God that you have the resources and desire to travel.  There are many people that would kill to be in your shoes.  Do not let one single event define your entire experience.  Shit happens, get over it and move on.

How do you stay positive while traveling?  Comment below!
